Years ago I had a student, then ten years old. Often he would sit at the piano and just improvise whatever came into his head. Sometimes he recorded his musical ideas on a sound tape. So I found this particular descending theme which I used to compose the "Paraphrase on a theme by a ten year old boy".

This was the theme for my weekly radio program for children on a local radio station in the early 1980s. This one is short, just 300KB.

It is a wonderful feeling to sit at the console of a grand organ and be in charge of all the dynamics from the tiniest and sweetest solo pipe to the whole power of all the stops. This Fantasie in F goes back to a series of pieces for grand organ I composed in the late 1950s. It takes even more memory, 4.7 Mbyts, and its duration is eight minutes.
In many years as a telephone counsellor, one of the saddest calls from a client inspired me to write this piece. I simply called it Tears. This one is over 5 minutes long and takes 3.2 Mbytes to download.
