Who has not experienced this situation: Something prevents you from sleeping. It may be an idea, a fixation or, as in this case, a musical theme. It came from nowhere. So, in the middle of the night I went to my synthesiser/organ and, with the headphones on, for the next hour played and recorded the offending melody, adding countless variations. A short scene takes place in a cafe house. (The 'Red Bricks' saga) There is no dialogue. While only the action tells the story, to entertain the guests, in the background a musician plays this intermezzo on an electronic organ. 1.5Mbytes. dur. 1.20 min.
The mother puts her child to sleep. "Time for a story", the child demands. Mother thinks of a tale she enjoyed listening to when she was a child. Her imagination takes her far beyond the original story. Finally she notices that the child is asleep. Speaking softly she brings it to a conclusion while the child drifts into the world of dreams. 3Mbytes, dur: 5 min.
