THE TOASTMASTERS
YOUTH LEADERSHIP COURSE
is a simplified version of the 'Toastmaster's Leadership and Success
Program'. It is designed for mature upper primary students up to high school.
In six or eight two-hour sessions the students will be encouraged to:
* Learn the principles of chairmanship
* Construct a speech
* Speak clearly and convincingly in front of an audience
* Listen effectively
* Speak without notice
* Act as a Master of Ceremony
* Learn the art of supportive evaluation
* Become aware of and develop leadership qualities
* Enhance their self esteem.
ABOVE ALL, HOWEVER, THE COURSE WILL FOSTER ONE OF THE ESSENTIAL QUALITIES
IN AN EVERMORE COMPLEX AND COMPETITIVE FUTURE WORLD:
AN EFFECTIVE AND
CONFIDENT PERSONALITY.
For school children, apart from a few dollars for the
educational materials and refreshments, the service is provided by experienced
and interested Toastmasters, free of charge.
A certificate from TOASTMASTERS INTERNATIONAL will be
issued to those who complete the course satisfactorily.
Courses are held by arrangement during or after school
hours. Some sessions can also be held at weekends.
